Benefits of a One-Visit Smile Makeover

Improve Your Appearance in One Day

Improve Your Appearance
in One Day

Impressions, fabrication, and fitting are done all in one day. A one-visit smile makeover only takes a few hours rather than the weeks it would take with more traditional methods; this procedure provides patients with an efficient way to enhance their teeth.

Custom-Made Veneers and Crowns

Custom-Made Veneers
and Crowns

Almost every step associated with traditional veneer and crown placement, such as etching, temporary restorations, and then waiting, is eliminated with this smile makeover. Dr. Kohani uses CEREC technology to produce digitally custom-made veneers and crowns that help restore the smile line in just one sitting.

Long-Lasting Repair

Not only will the one-visit smile makeover improve the aesthetics and functionality of your teeth, but it will also give you a brand new smile that will last for years to come.

Smile Makeover Process

  • Consultation

Your one-visit smile makeover process begins with an initial consultation to create a detailed report of your cosmetic goals and expectations. Dr. Kohani will review your medical history and use a detailed 3-D digital CT scan to create a virtual impression (or prototype) of your teeth before any dental work begins.

  • Veneers and Crowns

Veneers consist of wafer-thin ceramic covers placed on top of the natural tooth enamel. Ceramic crowns are used to cover the entire tooth to improve its structure. Using CEREC technology to craft the crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays significantly cuts down production time.

  • CEREC Technology

Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics, or CEREC, is a machine that can fabricate, craft, and produce durable ceramic restorations in one hour. The impressions of your teeth are uploaded into the software used to craft the veneers or crowns. At times, Dr. Kohani will be assisted by a master ceramist who will help facilitate the fabrication of the ceramic restorations. Ana Torres, our orthodontic assistant, is also a certified CEREC designer who assists in the fabrication process.

  • Restoration Placement

Once the restorations are produced and placed onto the teeth, very minimal adjustments are made to the existing tooth enamel. After the veneers and crowns are cemented into place, your bite contact will be examined to ensure your new teeth fit together comfortably.

Testimonials

One-Visit Smile Makeover Faqs

  • What is a smile line?

The smile line is an imaginary line along the edges of your upper teeth from side to side, which should ideally be the same as the curve of your lower lip when you smile. It can be used as a standard point of reference to help determine how long your new teeth should be.

  • Are the digitally crafted veneers safe and comfortable?

Although veneers are crafted in one day, these restorations are perfectly safe and effective, and they maintain the same high quality as traditional veneers.

  • When should I consider getting a one-day smile makeover?

When two or more teeth are in need of repair, the entire smile line may require cosmetic enhancement. This is when you should consider a smile makeover to help improve your smile as a whole rather than restructuring one or two teeth.

  • How long does a traditional smile makeover procedure take compared to a one-visit smile makeover?

Veneers and crowns require two to three appointments for completion over the course of a few weeks during a typical smile makeover. The natural tooth enamel would have to be filed and etched, and patients are required to wear uncomfortable, temporary restorations until their permanent set is completed. CEREC technology reduces the treatment and wait time to a few hours during one office visit.

  • What should I do if I require more drastic tooth replacement?

Dr. Kohani offers full-mouth dental implants that are used to replace up to 12 teeth in the upper and lower jaw. This whole process takes about 16 weeks, and it is recommended that you replace both upper and lower teeth at the same time to reduce the cost and number of appointments. Once your mouth heals, full function is restored and can result in the smile of your dreams.
